Claudia Kathleen McAllister

Claudia Kathleen McAllister, age 66, of Seymour, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born on November 21, 1958, Claudia was the daughter of the late Raymond J. McAllister Jr. and Martha (Lange) McAllister, who survives in Danielsville, GA. She graduated from Katterbach American High School in Katterbach, Germany.

Claudia proudly served her country in the United States Army, completing seven years of active duty and six years in the reserves. Following her military service, she worked for the California Department of Corrections from May 1989 until her retirement in July 2007. She later continued her commitment to public service by working with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Claudia will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, kindness, generosity, and deep compassion. She loved life and brought joy to those around her. A devoted animal lover, she cherished her dogs and cats and had a heart for all creatures. Claudia also enjoyed crafting, flower arranging, and gardening. Her greatest joys were her family and friends?she never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.

She is survived by her loving mother, Martha (Lange) McAllister of Danielsville, GA; her son, Kyle Raymond Parker; grandson; Ian Raymond Parker; her sisters, Sandra (David) Pitts of Lavonia, GA, Virginia S. McAllister of Malta, OH, and Luise F. McAllister of Danielsville, GA; and her brother, Brandon A. McAllister of Danielsville, GA.

Claudia was preceded in death by her father, Raymond J. McAllister Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Adams Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Crothersville. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on the same day.

Interment of her remains will take place at a later date at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
