Mr. Claude Manuel Holt, age 84 of Ellijay, GA, passed away Sunday, July 17th, 2022 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Mr. Holt was born in Gilmer County to the late Fuller Manuel Holt and Mintie Forrest Holt. He was the founder and owner of Ellijay Heating & Air. Mr. Holt was a member of Flat Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Milton Holt, E.D. Holt, John Holt, and Jack Holt; and sisters, Lucille Dover and Helen Bradley.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Brenda York Holt of the home; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Manuel (Alicia) Holt of Ellijay and Shane (Connie) Holt; and five grandchildren, Teeb Holt, Millie Holt, Cooper Holt, Gunner Holt, and Lyla Holt also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin Harper, Rev. Lamar Beason, and Rev. Curtis Easley officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20th at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour.
The family will be accepting flowers but respectfully ask that no food be brought to the funeral home.
