We celebrate the life and honor the passing of Claude Francois, lovingly known as Clodie, (age 73) on September 5th at home with her family after a6 year long fight with ovarian cancer. She was a Frenchnative who made her home in Vallecitos, NM with a quest to express the grandiose beauty of the place and colors through her incredible artwork.She was a wonderful artist of many kinds,known as Mesdames Carton, who over the past 20 yearshoned her craft as a conveyor of light through the creation of her sculpted lamps. Clodie was also a beloved mother, grandmother and community member. She will be dearly missed by many. She is survivedby her two children, Bastien Founes and Quetzal Francois,grandchildren,Marlow and Izia,son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Valerie,sisters, Virginie and Michelle and niece, Tiana, as well as the rest of her French family and her many friends. Her generous and kind spirit will live on in everyone who knew her. A celebration of Clodie's life will be held on Saturday October 15th at 2pm in the home that she resided in which was a living testament of her wonderful artistic soul.
