Claud "Pat" Sutton, age 74 of Sevierville was born October 17, 1947 in Nurnberg, Germany passed away Friday March 4, 2022. Pat graduated from Sevier County High School in 1966, and worked at Duracap Asphalt Paving Company for 36 years. He enjoyed playing sports, football and baseball and in his later years soft ball leagues, even the old timer softball games. Pat liked watching racing, going to festivals and the beach with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports and doing dance routines, march in parades, and taking them fishing. He loved to sing and go to singings, he was a bass singer and sang with his sister Shirley and brothers in law Don and Bob in the 70's and 80's. Pat was a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church, was an Elder. taught adult Sunday School for many years, mowed the church yard and did maintenance work. He loved the outdoors and that was where he wanted to be and on his grader at work.He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin (Jack) and Erika (Pete) Sutton; grandparents, Claude J. and Debbie Sutton, Elizabeth Roth and step grandfather Wilham (Willy); brothers-in-law, Kim Adams and Edward Walker; sister-in-law, Linda Walker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Mary Walker. Pat is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gada Walker Sutton; children, Kimberly Fox (Wayne), David Sutton (Tammy), Scott Sutton (Crystal); grandchildren, Taylor Bryant (Steven), Jonathan Sutton, Savanna Sutton, David B. Sutton, Shaunna Swiger (Alec); great grandchildren, Raelynn Bryant, Amelia Swiger, Archie Swiger, expecting soon, AnnMarie Swiger; brother, Sam Sutton (Rosie); Sisters, Charlotte Rogers (Judson), Shirley Adams, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with service to follow at 7PM. Rev. Les Shears and Rev. Eugene Thomas will be officiating.
