Clarence Wayne Due passed away peacefully with family by his side at Fieldstone Memory Care on August 26, 2022, at the age of 90.
Clarence was born in Everett WA, to Paul and Alice Due. He grew up in Marysville WA and graduated from Marysville High School in 1951. Clarence was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. After the army he returned to Marysville to continue working on his family strawberry farm Due's Berry Farm, which was established in 1910 by his grandfather Peter Due.
Clarence met the love of his life Marjorie Maurer on the strawberry farm, and in 1961 they married. Together they continued the operation of Due's Berry Farm until his retirement in 2011. Clarence and Marge were both very proud to reach the 100-year mark of his family's 3-generation strawberry farm.
Clarence loved being outside and spent many hours on his tractor, he also loved being at the lake and enjoyed many years of boating, he looked forward to going Lake Goodwin after a long hard day of work and was always happy to help people learn how to water-ski. One of his favorite boats was his orange jet boat with the stacks. His love for boats turned to classic cars with the purchase of his beloved yellow 1953 chevy coupe. He attended many classic car shows with his cousin, and won numerous awards and trophies. His claim to fame was winning the "King of Chrome" many years in a row at the Snohomish car show.
Clarence affectionately known as dad, grandpa, pops, and foodie, will be remembered by his quick wit, hard work ethic while humming a tune, and his thumbs-up attitude.
