Clarence F. "Cas" Walker, age 92, of Knoxville passed away peacefully on Tuesday eventing, June 1, 2021 after a stroke.
Cas drove a truck across the country for many years. In 1963 he hauled two young white rhinos that came to the U.S. from Africa, taking them from New York to the Phoenix Zoo, where they lived for many years. He had many adventures and made many friends in his travels. He enjoyed golf, traveling, boating, family and friends. After he retired from driving, Cas worked for Young Publishing on their Lakeway area Real Estate book.
Cas is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Gail Walker; his brother, Kelsey "Bud" Walker (Dallas), his sisters Lucille McCormick (Charlie) and Betty Earls (Dennie).
He is survived by his sister Lois Earls (Donald), his children Linda Crawford (Arnold), JoAnn Gerlach (Michael), Lisa "Mickie" Clark (Chuck) and Jason Walker (Lesley) grandchildren Stacey Crawford, Steven Clark, and Aubrey Free ; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 19th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 3316 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN; under the pavilion directly behind the church.
