Clarence Lee Lamm III, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born June 12, 1946 in Nash County to the late Clarence Jr. and Hilda Snipes Lamm. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Bulluck, and loving wife Carmen Cooper Lamm.
He is survived by his daughter Ramona Lamp and husband James, and his grandchildren Stephen Lamp, David Lamp, Christopher Lamp, and Abigail Lamp.
Clarence was a leutinant corporal in the Marines and served in the Vietnam War. He graduated from Wesleyan University in business administration, where he started his career in textile management. He retired in 2000 from American and Efird as a department head.
Clarence was a devoted, loving, kind, and generous man. He touched many lives, including Dale Glover, who he met in 1973. He was a mentor to Dale, and they remained close throughout life. Clarence thought of Dale as an adopted brother.
Clarence was family man. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. He especially liked to vacation at White Lake with his wife and grandchildren. He will be forever missed.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9:30-10:30am at Cornerstone Funeral Home with graveside service to follow 11:00am at Pineview Cemetery of Rocky Mount, NC.
