A proud veteran of the US Air Force, Marie served during the Korean War, where she met her one true love, Roger Stapleton. They married on December 15, 1953, and raised three sons in Pewaukee. After her husband's death in 1976, Marie became dedicated to a 25+ year career in the Waukesha Memorial Hospital's Data Processing Department.
In her later years, Marie relocated from her beloved home in Pewaukee to reside with her son Patrick in Mukwonago for 12 years, eventually moving to a 55-plus community in Cottage Grove, near her son Jeff and his family. She truly enjoyed the friends she made at the Drumlin Residences- socializing over morning coffee and participating in the various activities offered there. Marie was a passionate crafter, always creating beautiful pieces and exploring new hobbies. She has left a legacy of creativity and love. Her warm spirit and willingness to help others will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Marie's life was a testament to the power of faith, resilience and love. She will be deeply missed by her family and the countless lives she touched during her incredible journey. We take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of the Lord, reunited with Roger and watching over us all.
