Clara Lona Stott Finch died on February 26, 2022. She was born on February 17, 1931 to Robert B. Stott and Anna W. Stott in Wilson County, NC. She was predeceased by her husband, Van Henry Finch, Jr. "Bud", her parents, and her sister, Betty Joyce Fluegel.
Clara held several jobs over the years, but her favorite job was working with Bud in the moving business at All American Moving and Storage in Raleigh, NC. She was a bookkeeper and secretary for that business. She was a tremendous help to her community, her church, and the moving business. Her church, God, and family was first and foremost in her life. She will always be remembered for her strength in every situation that life sent in her direction.
She is survived by her daughter Lucinda Finch Cash and husband Richard Allen Cash, her son Van Ray Finch and wife Marilyn H. Finch, grandchildren Heather Cash Brewer (Jeff), Richard Adam Cash, Nickolas Allen Cash, Brandon Ray Finch (Maddie), Jeremy Van Finch (Terri), and Brookie Finch Parker (Jay), great-grandchildren Landon, Logan, Clara Grace, Dylan, Autumn, Austin, Lindsey, Grady, and Jaxon, brothers Robert Stott and Thomas Stott, and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to all who helped her at Cambridge Hill Assisted Living in Pittsboro, NC and Parkview Health and Rehabilitation in Chapel Hill, NC.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Facial coverings are requested by the family and the service will be recorded and posted afterwards for those unable to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association - P.O. Box 96011 - Washington, DC 20090-6011.
