Christopher Tyler Mata, age 28 of Odessa Texas was born August 19, 1995 sharing a birth date with his great grandmother Maria Louisa Reyes. Beloved son to Judy Ann Mata, Mark Anthony Diaz, and Paul Molinar.
On the 24 of February 2024 our heavenly father opened his loving arms to accept Christopher into his kingdom. He will be remembered as a caring son, helpful grandson, protective big brother soon to be uncle and a genuine friend.
Christopher was a Permian High School graduate of the class 2013. During his high school years he followed in the footsteps of his favorite soccer player, Lionel Messi, and thrived on the soccer fields, playing for Mighty Mojo. Shortly after graduating, Christopher accumulated many hobbies such as cars. This introduced him to the car community and everything it had to offer, such as builds, racing, meets, and lifelong friends. His liking for firearms was a special bond he loved sharing on the range with his brother and friends who cared to join. As he venture in career changes he found his passion for stainless welding under the mentorship of David Ciriza. During his employment at HZ Services, he turned welding into a form of art that was admirable by those who saw.
Christopher was loved by many among those who will miss him dearly besides parents, are his grandparents, Julio and Angie. They influenced him heavily to be the man he was. His sisters, Mariacella, Brianna and brother Mark Anthony will also live by his memory. Longtime girlfriend Clarisa Ciriza had the pleasure of being a part of his life for nearly a decade until his passing.
Christopher's love will always surround those he left behind to watch waiting to welcome when their time has come. Christopher is survived by his Parents: Judy Mata, Mark Diaz, Paul Molinar. Grandparents: Julio and Angie Mata, Jesus and Nancy Garza, Albert and Irma Molinar. Great Grandfather: Jesus Diaz. Brothers: Mark Diaz Jr, Joshua Molinar. Sisters: Brianna Mata, Mariacella Diaz. Not to mention extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 7, 2024 from 10:00AM - 9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Mass will be held 10:00AM Friday March 8, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Burial to follow at Ector County Cemetery ~Rosehill Section
