On Thursday January 4, Chris left this world, leaving those that loved her, grieving and broken-hearted.
She was born January 30, 1953 to George undefined Dorothy Smith of St. Paul, MN. Chris was the fourth of five children and was the light of her family’s eye.
As a child she was a sought after singer and frequently spent time singing at the hymn sings at the pavilion on Lake Como, in St. Paul, MN. Her father, took on the role of her manager.
Chris was married to Rick Tossey (1971), Terry Rickel (1973-), and Matt Martinek (1982-).
Chris had two children, Adam Daniel and April Christine.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy, her brother Marshall, and her sister Robin.
She is survived by her children, Adam and April, grandchildren Jordan, Angelina, Jayce, and Leigha, brother George and his wife Chris, sister Eve and husband Dave, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Her family will be honoring her memory by celebrating her birthday on January 30 at 11 am, with a memorial service and a reception to follow.
