Christine A Copenhaver

Christine A. Copenhaver, 90, of South Bend passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Christine was born in Gary, IN on July 15, 1933, to Manuel and Angelina (Spiropolus) Funtadakis. Christine married Edward Copenhaver, her husband of 58 years until his death on April 2, 2023. She is also preceded in death by parents; a brother, Anthony Funtadakis and stepson, Edward Copenhaver. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smet and children, Joey, Casey and Alex Klebba; son, David (Brenda) Smet and daughter, Ashleigh; stepdaughter, Laura (Doug) Cole and their children, Alex, Brooke and Julia; Edward's children, Lisa Lavery, Kyle and Clinton; as well as 11 great grandchildren and a niece, Angie.

Christine and Edward lived in South Bend until 1981 when they moved to Fort Lauderdale. She enjoyed sewing and playing solitaire on the computer.

No services will be held at this time. The family would like to thank Hahn Funeral Home for handling the final arrangements.
