Christi Shores

Christi Shores, 52, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2022. Born in Beaumont Texas on January 20, 1970, she moved to Austin at an early age and grew up in the spirit of the old "Keep Austin Weird" culture. She went to Austin High School and frequented all the cool Austin hotspots with her many friends. She graduated from LSU with a degree in Business. She is preceded in death by her father, Lem Shores, and loving grandparents. She is survived by wife: Tracy Shores; Children: Mya Shores, Liliana Shores, Geoff Bushong, David Bushong, and Kris Bushong; Mother: Nuba Shores; Brother: Blake Shores; Best friend and soul sister: Kristen Fare Langham; God daughter: Madison Fare; Nephews: Fin and Sawyer Shores and the entire extended Moyer family that embraced her like their own. Christi lived to fish and garden. She was happiest when she was on the water, any water. She loved the beauty of nature and found calm and peace while fishing and doing anything with her plants. Christi lived life on her own terms. She refused to let pain and illness hold her down. She loved life and had the strength and will to live that amazed us all time and time again. She loved to make the people in her life feel special. She loved to take care of her family to show them how much she loved them. She made a point to remember everyone's favorite foods, clothes, sizes, styles, etc. She will be dearly missed. Special thanks go out to the Cleveland Clinic Intestinal Transplant team that gave us many good years to love our Christi and allowed her to kayak fish again. Memorial services are TBD.
