Christanna "Tanna" Nicole Anderson was born on October 2, 1987, at Peachford Hospital in Dekalb County, GA and was killed on February 8, 2026, in Alabama at the age of 38 in a crash with a semi-truck. Local Traffic Homicide Unit and Alabama Law Enforcement are investigating. She was raised in Ball Ground, Georgia but has lived in Arab, Alabama for the last 14 years.
Tanna had several college scholarship offers but instead enlisted in the Navy where her test scores caused the U.S. Navy to inform her that they rarely see scores that high and planned to train her as a Nuclear Engineer. She was scheduled to "walk" to receive her bachelors in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management this May at Athens State University. Tanna was then scheduled to enter graduate school to pursue her Masters Degree. She was also dedicated to her work as a Master Scheduler at Sanmina Corporation in Huntsville, AL.
When her father needed an organ transplant, she was not a match but discovered that she was uniquely qualified to be a "live liver doner". She found a hospital in New Orleans willing to perform the procedure and saved the life of a beautiful little girl in Shreveport, Louisiana in June of 2023.
Tanna was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend her free time camping, hiking, and kayaking with her husband, sons and friends. She was a champion for rescue animals, not only fostering and adopting, but regularly asked that her birthday and Christmas presents be donations to Brindlee Mountain Animal Rescue.
Above all, Tanna was a devoted mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment with them.
Tanna leaves behind a loving and supportive family including her husband, Jeremy Morrow; mother, Honey Hite; sons, Jon Drake and James Drake; stepsons, Luke Morrow (Trinity) and Levi Morrow; grandfather, Gary Paul Hite, Sr.; sisters, Cassandra Witherington (Erik) and Mariah Millea; brother, Kieran Millea; uncles, Gary Paul Hite Jr. (Amanda), Heath Cantrell Hite, Andy Anderson (Cathy) and Chris Anderson.
Preceding Tanna in death include her father, Jonathan Phillips Anderson, and grandparents, Christanna Cantrell Hite, Robert Anderson and Betty Anderson.
Visitation will take place from 10:30 am until 12:00 noon before the Memorial Services which will be held February 28th at 12:00 noon at Trinity Presbyterian Church located at 1136 Trinity Church Rd. Canton (Free Home) Georgia, with interment taking place at Macedonia Memorial Park.
In leu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Brindlee Mountain Animal Rescue
