Chriselda Lopez, 60, of Levelland and formerly of Muleshoe, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Odessa, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022, at American Boulevard Church of Christ, in Muleshoe. Interment will follow at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Chriselda was born March 28, 1961, in Fort Myers, Florida, to Miguel and Celia Lopez. She graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1980 where she excelled at playing the clarinet and twirling. Chriselda went on to attend Midland College and became a phlebotomist. A member of American Blvd Church of Christ, Chriselda was an excellent cook and enjoyed watching the cooking channel. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. Always putting others before herself, Chriselda was very proud of her son and loved him and her grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Lopez in 2000, a brother, Miguel Lopez, Jr. in 1982, and a niece, Vanessa Munoz in 2021.
Survivors include her son, Lucas Garcia, Jr. and his wife Margarita of Odessa, her mother, Celia Lopez Woodson of Muleshoe, the love of her life, Lucas Fuentes Garcia of Odessa, one brother, Rueben Lopez and his wife Cora of Levelland, and three sisters, Onieda "Peggy" Lopez DeLeon and husband Mundo Cobos of Earth, Delilah Lopez Garza and her husband Toby of Levelland, and Iris Lopez of Amarillo. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Audrey, Alezae, Christopher, Lucas III, Karlie, Mason, Isaac, and Auden and five great-grandchildren. She also had seven nieces and nephews: Steffen and his wife Maria, Devanie, Dalton, Zachary, Skye, Delaeni, and Dean.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Chriselda's sister-in-law, Selma, for all her care and help during the past year of her illness.
