Chester A. Baldwin Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2024, at West Bend Rehabilitation of South Bend, In. Chester was born on September 22, 1942, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Laura Davis and Chester A. Baldwin Senior.
Chester graduated from Elgin High School in Elgin, IL., in 1961, after graduation, Chester moved to South Bend. IN. Chester was a very active young man and had a great love for bowling and music. Chester was on the South Bend Bowling league for 20 years and a Disc Jockey for WRBR Radio Station. Chester retired from Transpo of 25 years in 2010, as a bus driver. Chester accepted his calling as a Deacon on 10/14/2014 at New Hope Ministries. Chester also drove the church bus for several years.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth (Lisa) Baldwin of Elgin, Illinois, four daughters; Antionette R. Covington of South Bend, In., Bettina (Robbie) Webb of Lexington, TN., Shalonda L. Miller (Tory) of Seattle, WA., Brittany N. Baldwin of Mishawaka, IN., seven granddaughters, Renisha Smith, Jalessa Mason, Keonda Baldwin, Essence Baldwin, Ebony Baldwin, Tori Miller, Neevaeh Ciula, eleven grandsons, Chamar Sallis, Kenneth Baldwin II, Dekeldrick Roberts, Jazmar Baldwin, Kaamel Baldwin, Kevante Baldwin, Michael Martin, Brad Miller, Issiah Ciula, Elijah Ciula, Messiah Ciula, two brothers, Carl Baldwin of South Bend, IN., Caruis Baldwin of Inglewood, CA, one sister, Bernice (James) Dearing of San Diego, CA, a and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Three special cousins, Era Baldwin, Rosie Baldwin and Margaret Orsby of Elgin, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Davis and Chester Baldwin Sr., four brothers, James Willis, George Bynum, Charles Baldwin and Oscar Bynum, one sister, Delbra Baldwin and one son Charles e. Baldwin.
