Cheryl Ann Whitley, 49, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2021.
Treasured by her family and friends, Cheryl is remembered for how much she took care of, and celebrated, those around her.
Cheryl was born in Bluffton, Indiana to Don and Gail Potter on November 22, 1971. On March 20, 1992 Cheryl married Keith Whitley in Odessa, Texas. Cheryl graduated from UTPB with a degree in education and was a beloved teacher for many years at Odessa Christian School and Midland Christian School. Cheryl dedicated her life to her family, being a great mother, daughter, and sister. Cheryl had a love for hiking and visiting state parks across Texas with her husband.
Cheryl loved being an aunt and always made it a priority to attend her nieces' and nephews' events and celebrations and the kids were always excited to get to spend time with Aunt Cheryl.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Whitley; her two children, Leticia Saiid (Neil), Kayleen Whitley; her siblings, Linda Monta?o, Gary Potter (Celeste), and Sarah Martin (James); her parents Don and Gail Potter; and her in-laws Jerry and Carnell Whitley.
For anyone who would like to attend, a viewing is scheduled on Thursday February 25th from 5-7 PM at Garmany & Carden, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. Graveside services for any who would like to attend will be held on Friday, February 26th at 10 AM at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, TX 77471.
