Cheryl was born October 31, 1970, she was our Witch Baby. She passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. She was 50 years old, was born in Ft Worth, TX and resided mostly in Abilene, TX. She married Tony Watson on Feb 11. 2006, he was her soul mate for life. They both resided in Conroe, TX until present day.
She was a fun, loving and caring lady, who lived life to the fullest. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time traveling and living outdoors, especially at the lake. She also enjoyed cruises and music festivals. She worked many years as a Time-Share Representative because she had the gift of talking to strangers.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents: James Allen Buffington & Thelma F Mendez; 3 uncles: Gary Buffington, Paul Buffington & James Buffington; and aunt: Dona K Buffington.
She is survived by her husband: Tony Watson of Conroe, TX, 2 daughters: Allison Neal and husband Brad of Arlington, TX, and April Buffington-Gonzales and husband Justin of Abilene, TX; 3 sons: Steven S. Cate of Abilene, TX, Christopher Cate of Abilene, TX, and Jordan Watson of Merkel, TX. Cheryl is also survived by her mother: Alice F. Gann of Baird; mother-in law: Sandra Watson of Merkel; sister-in-law: Amy Ash of Abilene: 2 sisters: Lisa A. King and husband Horace of Mineral Wells, TX and Tanya Dominguez of Yakima, WA; brother: Michael D. Fultz of Abilene, TX; 10 precious grandchildren & a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her lifetime best friend was Vicky L. James.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 5-7pm at Starbuck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday at Starbuck Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Compere Cemetery.
