Cheryl Ann "Annie" Walker Artack was born on Mar. 16, 1952 in Richland Washington. She died on June 6, 2021 at the age of 69 in Richland Washington after an extended illness.
Annie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DaySaints. She loved her faith and believed in spirit that families are forever. She loved her family and friends very much. The family would like to recognize her friendships with Tracy Sullivan, her co-worker Shawn Toevs and her friend Kathleen Bigler all of whom supported and loved her for many years. Annie was a hard worker who loved her job, working until the day she went into the hospital. Annie began working for Snohomish County in 1991 moving to full-time in 1993. Over the last 30 years she worked in the Planning Department and was a dedicated and considerate employee enjoying her co-workers and clients very much.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Phyllis Walker of Everett Washington and her brothers John Walker and Frank Walker. She is survived by her daughters Cheri Barnett (Greg, whom she lovingly called "Bear") and Molly Opal Patterson; her grandchildren, Gracie Barnett, Cody Barnett, Malachi Patterson, Malik Jagana, Makiah Jagana, and Musa Jagana; her sisters Colleen Hanson and Victoria Walker (Dale), her brothers Bill Christensen (Mary), Mike Christensen (Kathleen), Chuck Walker and J. P. Walker (Marie) and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
In these words, written by Annie we find comfort:
"We have to learn it by spirit. We learn of heroes, great doctors, musicians, scientists, politicians, warriors and others. We learn of both women and men who achieve greatness, not always goodness. We learn of Confucian, Buddha, Jesus Christ and other spiritual leaders, that point the way. But each of us has to learn. We all have the potential and choice to become such. We have the potential to help each other along the way. I live by spirit. I survive by spirit. I trust spirit. I am spirit."
