Chelsea Lynn Kramer passed from complications from cancer on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, surrounded by those she loved.
Chelsea was born Aug. 25, 1983, to Richard Kramer and Debbie Wilson Benjamin in Rochester. After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School (North Carolina) in 2002, she studied early elementary education at Liberty University, graduating in 2006.
In 2007, she moved to Nashville, Tenn., where she found her true calling, bringing love, guidance, learning and support to the children of busy families. Chelsea was blessed with her most recent family for the past seven years, shortly after their twins were born. While they were learning to talk, they couldn't pronounce her name, and it came out "Chi Chi" and that nickname endearingly stuck.
Chi Chi truly touched the lives of everyone she met. She spent all 36 of her years loving and helping all of us as only she could. Her beautiful smile was contagious, her kind heart was felt by all, her endless faith and bountiful friendship brought people together everywhere she went. She loved to connect with people, laugh, sing, dance, travel and enthusiastically live life. While her time on earth wasn't nearly long enough, her fierce battle is over. She is flying with her fellow angels and guiding us all from above. We'll see you again someday... until then, we'll be singing, dancing and toasting with a glass of Rose and our fond memories of you in our hearts.
Please join us in the celebration of life for Chelsea from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 Seventh Ave. SE, Rochester (507-289-5147). Services will be followed with a light supper in the fellowship hall. Guests are encouraged to share their favorite memories and stories about Chelsea during this time.
Chelsea is survived by her father, Richard Kramer of Rochester; mother, Debbie Wilson Benjamin (David) of Richmond, Va.; brother Grayson; grandmother, Judy Hodge of Rochester; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chelsea was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Deloris Kramer and Don Wilson, and uncle, Donald Kramer.
Memorials for Chelsea are preferred to her father, Richard Kramer.
