Charlotte Greene Kerr, 66, departed December 22, 2021, in Albuquerque New Mexico. She was surrounded by family and friends who were blessed to spend her final hours returning a small bit of the unconditional love she had showered upon all of them over many years together.
Charlotte was born March 12, 1955, in Cincinnati Ohio, to Dr. Lawrence Greene and Francis (Fran) Greene, then grew up in Laramie attending University Prep and graduating from Laramie High in 1973. She attended the University of Wyoming for one semester before leaving to attend the University of Oklahoma where she graduated in 1977 with a B.S. in Nutrition. She arrived unannounced at the Pi Beta Phi sorority house in Norman, circa December 1973/January 1974, with nothing but her suitcase and a smiling declaration that "my name is Charlotte Greene, and I am affiliating". Her beloved horses followed her a short time thereafter. A lifelong lover of equine sports, she was an accomplished rodeo rider, hunter-jumper, and dressage athlete and continued to enjoy riding until the end of her life. Her supreme love was her family.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Lynn Kindel of Albuquerque, NM, her sister Mary Greene of Oklahoma City, her brother Whit Greene and sister in-law Christine Greene, of Denver, CO, her son Sam Kerr and daughter in-law Jennifer Bergin Kerr of Oklahoma City, OK, and her daughter Kiersten Bauer and son in-law Brock Bauer of Oklahoma City, OK, and her longtime friend and father of her Children Bob Kerr, of Oklahoma City, OK. Charlotte was the extremely proud grandmother of Ayden Kennedy Kerr and Beckham Samuel Kerr, who lovingly called her "Ce Ce".
Charlotte loved travel and adventure, having many opportunities to engage in both with the ones she loved profoundly. She passed away after a two plus year battle with Cancer that she fought privately, fiercely, and gracefully. The courage exhibited during her fight was only outweighed by the beauty she possessed both outwardly and within her soul. She will be missed significantly but never forgotten. A memorial will take place later in 2022 in Albuquerque.
