Charlotte Elaine Henry, 80, of Paragon, passed from this life on Thursday, August 8th, 2019 at her daughter's home with her family by her side. She was born in Martinsville to the late Charles Troxell and Ida Mae (Elliott) Hacker on July 17th, 1939.
Charlotte graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1957. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Indiana in the Child and Human Services Division for over 25 years.
She married the love of her life, William Dwayne Henry, on August 24th, 1960. They have enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage.
Charlotte was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who relished time spent with her family above all else. She enjoyed card games, board games, bowling, reading, and playing guitar. Charlotte was artistic and spent time doodling and crocheting.
She will be missed and forever remembered by her loving family including her husband, Dwayne Henry of Paragon; son, Mark Henry of Paragon; daughters, Cindy Turley (husband, Todd) of Paragon and Deborah (husband, Tim) Blevins of Martinsville; brother, Charles "Bud" Troxell of Paragon; sisters, Judy (husband, Marvin) O'Neal of Martinsville, Nancy Turnbow of Indianapolis, Beverly Harper of Paragon, and Billie Jo Whitaker of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way (due in December).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ida; daughters, Kathy Sue Budd and Brenda Joyce Henry; grandson, (who she and Dwayne raised after his mother passed) Travis Henry; brothers, Jerry Brown and Scott Hacker and sister, Barbara Baker.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Rev. Keenan Steinway will officiate a service celebrating the life of Charlotte on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior. She will be laid to rest in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
