Charlotte Beasley Bump passed away on December 4, 2020 while surrounded by her family, after a long fight with early onset Alzheimer's and dementia. She was 68.
Charlotte was born on January 9, 1952 in Jonesville, Louisiana to Shelby and Margie Beasley. Growing up in Jonesville Charlotte was gifted at many things but a few that top the list were her talent at piano where she even played at her local church where her Dad was a Deacon. She was also a competitive basketball player. Charlotte attended college at Louisiana Tech where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She met and married the love of her life, Milo Bump, in June of 1974. She was an elementary schoolteacher for many years. Up until her memory faded she was adamant her children's books be kept for her grandchildren).
Unless you knew Charlotte before Alzheimer's or know someone that has personally been affected by this disease, it is hard to understand how horrible Alzheimer's can destroy someone you love. Charlotte was the strongest woman you've ever met. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce and loving Mom. Until her health condition made it impossible, both Charlotte and Milo were long time members of The Woodlands First Baptist Church. Charlotte was active in her church and through the Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Milo, of 46 years and her mother, Margie Beasley. She is survived by her son, Jacob Bump (Lauren). Proud grandmother of Tyler Bump. Dear sister of Shelley Edmonds, Margie Butler and Brent Beasley. Remembered also by her by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jeremy, in 2004 and father, Shelby, in 2014.
An expression of sympathy Memorial may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
