Charlotte M Blackketter, 73, Bloomington, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 30, 2021. Charlotte was a loving wife of 55 years, mother, Grandma, sister, aunt and friend to many. She loved everything God blessed her wit. especially her family, animals and her winters in Florida.
Survivors include her husband Richard E Blackketter of Bloomington; children Craig M (Jen Lundergan) Blackketter of Bloomington and Alicia M (David) Parent of Brownsburg; grandchildren Jackson and Lily Parent; and brothers Dan (Pam) Baker of New Albany and John (Sherry) Baker of Battleground, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack M and Jeune C Baker.
Charlotte was born in Berea, KY on July 15, 1947. She graduated from Indiana University's Masters Program of Education with Honors and taught Kindergarten for 22 years at Lakeview Elementary in the Monroe County School Corporation. Upon retirement, she volunteered at the Bloomington Animal Shelter as an adoption counselor and fostering puppies. She was a member of South Union Christian Church in Bloomington.
No memorial services are scheduled at this time with hopes of having a Celebration of Life in the summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlotte's memory to the Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401.
