Charlie P. Torres of Eden, Texas, was granted Eternal Rest with our Lord and Savior on
Saturday, July 18, 2021, after a lengthy and brave fight with illness. He is preceded in death by
his parents, Benito and Elvira Torres of Eden; his first wife, Lois Torres; four brothers, Raymond
Torres, Antonio Torres, Faustino Torres, and Paul Torres and one sister, Marianne Chapoy.
Charlie was born on December 12, 1944, just outside of Eden in the small community of Live
Oak. He is described by friends and family members as a dedicated and loving brother, uncle,
father, husband, and friend. He is also known for being a life-long shearing professional, an
entrepreneur, and a carpenter. Charlie's hobbies included classic car restoration, gardening,
cooking, fishing trips with his current wife, and music (he played guitar, harmonica, and
accordion). But his true passion and reason for hope was his relationship with Jesus Christ. He
began and ended each day in prayer.
Charlie is survived by his current wife, Susan Torres; his eldest daughter, Kelsie Pelham and
son-in-law Derek Pelham of Fort Worth; daughter, Michelle Parker and son-in-law Keith Parker
of Fort Worth; son, Mario Daniel Torres and daughter-in-law Melissa of Stephenville; step-son,
Reginald Titus Jr.; step-daughter, Ashly Nunn; his grand-children include: Joseph Randle
Edwards, Annelise Parker, Miguel Parker, Maria Parker, Therese Parker, Isabell Torres, Mateo
Torres, Breah Torres, and great-grandchildren, Isabella and James Edwards.
May the Lord grant him Eternal Rest.
