Charlie Joe Ogletree, Jr.,74, of Hemphill, TX passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at his residence.
Joe was born in Elberton, GA on June 14, 1945 to Charlie Joe Ogletree, Sr. and Lila Evans Ogletree. He was a graduate of Auburn University where he had earned his Bachelor's Degree and he retired after over 30 years of service from Kansas City Southern Railroad where he had worked as a Conductor. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed cooking and gardening. He loved his family and was liked by everyone he knew.
Joe is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lynne D. Ogletree of Hemphill; mother, Lila Ogletree of LaCenter, KY; sons, Michael Martin Ogletree and wife, Mejie, of Sulphur, LA, Christopher Paul Ogletree of Leesville, LA, and step-son, Christopher Paul Montelbano of Shreveport, LA ; daughter, Kimberly Denise Lamitina and husband, Steve, of DeRidder, LA; brother, Michael Ogletree and wife, Anne, of LaCenter, KY; sisters, Joy Lindsey and husband, Larry, of LaCenter; grandchildren, Anthony Michael Lamitina, Crystal Nicole Husidic, Joshua David Ogletree, Corey Leigh Ogletree, Alexis Suarez Ogletree, Della Lynne Montelbano, Spencer Jude Montelbano; and great grandchildren, Brody Michael Husidic and Silas Ogletree.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Joe Ogletree, Sr.; and sisters, Paula Brooks and Hazel Birdsong.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, TX.
