BURNEY CHARLIE F. BURNEY "Charles" Entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 6, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Edna Hawkins Burney; two daughters, Susan B Lathan and Angela Burney; son, Reginald Burney; eight grandchildren; sister, Regina Mitchell; long time friend of 52 years, Theresa Washington; a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie F Burney, Sr. and Bertha Taylor; brother, Earl Koonce. Mr. Burney may be viewed at Stewart Funeral Home, 4001 Benning Rd., NE on Tuesday, June 14 from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Interment is private.
