Charlie Rocele Bryans

Charlie Rocele Bryans, 87, of Acworth, passed away on May 13, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th 11:00am at Mars Hill Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bryant Harris officiating. The family will receive friends 10:30-11:00 prior to the service. Charlie served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from both Kennesaw College and Southern Tech. Charlie worked as a civil engineer for the City of Marietta for many years. He was a member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church for almost 50 years where he served as a deacon and elder. Aside from his work and community involvement, Charlie enjoyed the simple things in life - reading a good book or hiking in nature. However, above all else, his family held the most treasured place in his heart. Charlie is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jewell Bryans; children, Melissa Bryans (Mike Jascomb), Josh Bryans (Nonie), Ben Bryans (Aneta), and Jennifer Bodsford (Mark); sisters, Sandra Marchman, and Betty Baker; brothers, Lamar Bryans, and Pat Tanner; 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
