Mr. Casebeer died Thursday, March 17, 2022. Born in Galva, Kansas, he was the son of the late John William Casebeer and Clara D. Kreuger Casebeer. He graduated from Pittsburg State University and retired from Nucor Building Systems. With Nucor, he had found his professional home and loved being part of opening new plants and working closing with many colleagues he considered close friends. He was an active member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being an usher. In his spare time, he liked fishing and boating on Lake Murray and spending time in his workshop creating, building, teaching welding, and sharing his knowledge with family and friends. Charles read a lot and loved history and biographies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and many friends.
Surviving are his sons, Doug Casebeer (Susan), Mike Casebeer (Jenny), Steve Casebeer (Margie), Tom Casebeer, and Chris Casebeer (Linda Shipp); nine grandchildren, Emily, Logan, Megan (Carlos), Brice (Jamie), Katie, Lily, Camaria, Billie, and Miles; and great-grandchildren, Paloma, Bianca, Inez, and Josie.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shontel Sue Dalby Casebeer, and his brother, George Raymond Casebeer. Charles and Sue were high school sweethearts. He adored Sue and relished their 56 years of married life together.
