Charles Wilson Shore, Jr., 62, of Niles, was welcomed into eternity at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1958 in the Chicagoland area but lived in Michiana several years. He served in the United States Army and was discharged in 1981. Chuck was an Electronic Technician at CTDI, Communication Test Design, Inc. He was hired in '87 . As the company planted the South Bend branch, he relocated. His CTDI career lasted 32 years, he retired Jan. 1, 2020. With 30 years continuous sobriety, Charlie died an AA success!
He was married July 11, 1993 in San Antonio to Deborah J. Kelly. She and his siblings, David W. Shore of South Bend and Rex Allen (Barbara) Lenegir of Bartlett, IL will continue to be enriched by the years he was able to share with them.
Charles loves the Lord Jesus Christ. His Celebration of Life is Monday, April 26, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg, where the COVID -19 regulations of wearing a face mask, social distancing and a 25 person limit will be enforced. Officiating will be Joe Emmereth, Chuck's long time Spiritual Mentor. At 8:00 PM the US Army Honor Guard will play Taps and fold the American Flag, with the local Legion/VFW doing the 21 gun salute. Cremation will follow the service, Debbie then "gets to take him home"! Thank-You our friend for so richly blessing us!
It is a GOOD LIFE if we keep our hands out of it.
