Charles Ray Turner

Wilson...Charles Ray Turner, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born to the late Boson Turner and Bicey Mae Nichols Turner.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Turner; daughter, Peggy Lee Boykin; son, Lester Boykin; sister, Elsie Mae Peacock, and his brother, Richard Turner.

He is survived by his daughters, April Turner of Lucama, Linda Boykin of Lucama; son, Eddie Boykin (Debbie) of Wilson; sister, Brenda Barbee of Lucama; brothers, Laudis Turner of Wilson, Milton Turner of Lucama, Billy Earl Turner (Margie) of Elm City; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Shingleton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dunham officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
