Charles "Roland" Smith

Charles "Roland" Smith, 86, of Marietta, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. A memorial service will be held, 2:00pm Friday in the Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Dr. Al Southerland and Dr. Don Mason officiating. Mr. Smith was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church and had served as the Chairman of Deacons. He was a member of The American Red Cross and was with the American Red Cross Disaster Services for 20 years. Roland loved to square dance and was a member of the Wheel Arounds Square Dance Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Roland Smith, Jr. and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jacquelin Smith of Marietta; sister, Virginia Plemmons of Simpsonville, SC. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Roland's Memory.
