Charles Clifton Smith, III, of South Daytona, FL, passed peacefully on February 2, 2021.
Charles was born in Middleborough, MA on June 7, 1942 to the late Charles C. Smith, Jr. and Leona Smith.
Charlie served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis aboard the USS Parle. He was the Maintenance Manager at Ocean Spray Cranberry for many years before retiring to Central Florida. Charlie enjoyed spending time fishing, golfing and camping with his family. His passions include NASCAR racing, especially Ford automobiles and his love for animals. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elsie (Micki) Smith, his sons; Michael Smith (Sharon) of Port Orange, FL and Edward Smith (Julie) of Plymouth, MA, his 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Charles C. Smith, Jr. and Leona Smith and his sister Nancy Smith. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.baldwincremation.com.
