Charles E. Moinet, Jr., 95, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021.
Charles was born on Saturday, August 7, 1926 in Akron, OH to the late Charles Sr. and Della (Evans) Moinet and lived most of his life in Norton and the last few years in Brookdale Senior Living. He graduated from the University of Akron and was a teacher with the Wadsworth Public Schools. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was an avid motorcyclist and traveler.
Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn May Moinet; and sister, Ruby Lower. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Judi) Moinet; daughter, Martha (Paul) Starkey; grandsons, Zachary (Jacqueline) Moinet, Matthew (Carrie) Moinet, and Kyle (Steffani) Starkey; granddaughter, Kelly Starkey; great grandchildren, Clara, Nina, and Silas Moinet and Anthony and Riley Starkey; and many loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton. Graveside Service and Burial will be 12:45 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, OH 44320. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Secrest Arboretum, 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster, OH 44691 in Charles' name.
