Carlos Eugene "Buck" McLemore was born on April 18, 1945 in Shamrock, Texas to Carlos & Viola "Bo" McLemore and went to be with his heavenly Father on December 16, 2019 at home, surrounded by his family.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40 in Amarillo. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2pm in the McLean Cemetery in McLean, Texas with Sam White Presiding. Arrangements are in the care of Memorial Park Funeral Home of Amarillo.
Buck attended schools in Lela and Samnorwood, graduating from Samnorwood High in 1963-1966. He was stationed in Germany and enjoyed his deployment there. He was a long time member of the American Legion.
Buck worked for many years as a plant operator at Phillips Petrol Company in Borger, Texas. He then worked at Beacon Construction as a millwright machinist supervisor.
After being discharged from the military, he married Beverly June Clawson on August 5, 1967 in McLean, TX. He and Beverly had two children, Misty Noel & Patrick O'Brien. Beverly preceded him in death on March 8, 2009.
According to his family, "Dad never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting people. He told Fantastic and entertaining stories, some stories blurred the lines between fact and fiction, making them even more enthralling. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and listening to music, especially classic country and Bobby Bare."
Buck is survived by his children, Misty Siniard and her husband Tim Siniard of Amarillo, TX, of Amarillo, TX, Patrick McLemore and his wife Carolina McLemore of Ellsworth , MN. His Grandchildren, Emmett Hudson and wife Sandra Hudson of Wellington, TX, Talina De La Cruz and her husband Anthony De LA Cruz of Amarillo, TX Samantha McLemore and Christopher McLemore both of Goodwell, OK. Buck is also survived by his brother Larry McLemore and his wife Linda McLemore.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations in his memory to the Amarillo SPCA or Kindred Hospice in Amarillo.
