Mr Charles "Mike" Bryan Mann

1945-2022

Charles Mann, known by family and friends as Mike, died suddenly from cardiac complications in early January 2022 in his home on Kent Island, Maryland. He was the only son of Henry and Edith Mann of West Annapolis, MD.

Originally from Annapolis, he graduated from Severn School in 1963, and he received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland in 1969. Among his interests were his much-loved dogs & cats, Sci-Fi movies, Formula One Racing, the stock market, and the history & mechanics of firearms. He was considered by many as a firearms expert both when he worked in that field and for years afterwards.

He was a kind and generous man to his family and to many who grew up in less fortunate circumstances. Unmarried and having no siblings nor children of his own, Mike is survived only by his many cousins and Sara Williams, now of Delaware, who gave him the gift of being like a father to her.

A memorial service is being held at 10:00 am on 30 April 2022 at the Helfenbein Funeral Home in Chester, Maryland.
