Charles Franklyn MacIntire, 91, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on August 11 at 2:10pm. He was born to Charles Leland and Mary Adeline (Bresnahan) MacIntire Lane on March 2, 1928 at 4:35am in Lafayette, Indiana at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana on June 6, 1946. He was drafted on March 3, 1946 left for the Navy on June 12, 1946. After boot camp he chose to serve in Submarines . He served on the USS Piper ss409 at New London, Connecticut and came back home in 1948. He worked for 7 years at Fairfield making gears and then in 1957 became a representative for Kraft Foods until his retirement 1991. He and his wife, Genevieve, stayed in Florida for the winters until 1996 then decided to move there full time. He lived in Florida until July of 2015 and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be near his son Jon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leland and Mary Adeline (Bresnahan) MacIntire Lane; his sisters Joann Cecelia MacIntire, Marilyn Janice (Patsy Ruth according to her birth certificate) (MacIntire) McManomy, and Patricia Margaret (Lane) Viola; his brothers William "Bill" Edward MacIntire and Raymond Richard Lane: his daughter Cynthia Christine (MacIntire) Light and step-daughter Janet Louise (Anderson) Munson. He is survived by his wife Genevieve, Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, MaryBeth (Tom) Oberting, Indianapolis, Indiana and Debbi (John) Leitzel, Cicero, Indiana; son, Jon (Georgi) MacIntire, Las Vegas, Nevada; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charles will be buried at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
Memorial service was on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
