Charles "Willard" Joyner, age 77, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home in Nashville. He was born in Nash County on June 24, 1945 to Henry Lawrence and Lottie Jones Joyner, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda C. Joyner; daughter, Tammy Lynn Joyner; son, Charles Richard Joyner; grandson, Marshall Case, IV; granddaughters, Kanna Marie Joyner and Melinda Urbosa Joyner; and brother, Henry Steven Joyner.
Willard was a hard worker with exceptional work ethic and skill. He farmed for for J.B. Rose and Sons and Manning and Sons. He worked in the LP Gas business for Bass Gas and Oil, and Ferrell Gas. His work career also included a position with the NC Department of Transportation where he retired with 11 years of service. He was also a proud veteran, serving honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He loved his family and provided for them and met their needs in every way possible. He also loved being outdoors hunting and driving a John Deere Tractor. Willard will always be loved, remembered, and will not be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
