Charles "Charlie" Herbert Ferguson II, age 74, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on September 20, 2021.
Charles was born on December 17,1946, to Elizabeth Louise Morrow and Lloyd H. Ferguson in Richmond, Virginia. As a youth, Charles developed a love of sports, including football, baseball and basketball. Charles continued to excel in these sports after his family moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area when Charles was in high school.
While at Berry College, Charles met his first wife, Sherilyn, and together they had three children - James Allen, Karin, and Heather.
Charles served as Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1974, and was an accomplished softball player for the PACAF Yokota Raiders while stationed in Japan. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked at Ryder Truck Rental, then the City of Atlanta airport until his retirement.
Following his first marriage, Charles met and married the love of his life, Joan (nee Knowles). They greatly enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, and spending time with their loved ones.
Following Joan's passing, Charles moved to Nevada, where he and Joan had created many happy memories.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Louise and Lloyd Ferguson, and his wife, Joan. He is survived by his brothers, Allen (Debra) Ferguson, and Bill (Marilyn) Ferguson; his children, James Allen Ferguson, Karin (Josh) Hemenway, and Heather Ferguson; two stepsons, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a niece and three nephews.
