Charles Edmund Dollfus III "Mike" went to his Heavenly home, on July, 27, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Moore Hattiesburg Chapel with inurnment to follow in the Dollfus family plot in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
Born in Hattiesburg, MS in 1946, Mike graduated from Hattiesburg High and was educated at Auburn and UNC-Charlotte, where he lettered in Tennis. After college, he moved to Florence, S.C. He worked for Curtis 1000 for twenty-six years as a sales rep and sales supervisor. While in Florence, he was member of the Florence Jaycees, serving in many roles including Vice-President, and chairing events including Christmas for Needy Children, Halloween Safety Patrol, The Miss Florence Pageant, and The Florence Christmas parade. He was later elected a Jaycee International Senator (#28087), at the time, the highest honor the Jaycees bestowed on a member. He also served as Secretary of the Sunrise Sertoma Club and President of the Florence Chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
He retired in from Curtis 1000 in 1997 to become Vice President and CFO for Iron Horse Paper, Inc. in Greenville, S.C.
Mike is survived by his son, Michael Dollfus (Stacie) of Simpsonville, S.C. and his dear and special friend, Robbin Clover of Florence.
Reverend Knox Baird will be officiating the service.
