Charles H. Dember, 83, of San Antonio, Florida passed away peacefully at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, November 6th, 2021.
Charles was born on February 15th, 1938, to Eva and Charles in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Charles met and married Barbara in Brooklyn sixty-three years ago. After
graduating from St. John's University, he received a Masters in Finance from
Rutgers University. Charles enjoyed a successful career as a commercial banker
and financial officer. He resided in Jackson and Freehold, NJ before moving to Chesapeake, Virginia. He
then retired in San Antonio, FL seventeen years ago. As a longtime resident of Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club, Charles served as the president of the Home Owners Association for his community Deer Hollow.
Charles believed in giving back to his community by supporting charities including
Big Brothers, Metropolitan Ministries and the Native American School for Children.
He was a sports fan who loved baseball, traveled to every national baseball
stadium in the United States and coached Pop Warner football. Charles and
Barbara traveled all over the world enjoying vacations together.
Along with the love of his life, Barbara, his pride and joy were his three children
and six grandchildren. Those left to miss him include his wife, Barbara, his daughter
Susan Loren (Mark), his son John, his son, Gregory (Laura), and grandchildren
Justin, Jazlyn, Machalyn, John Charles, Cole and Savanna.
