Charles "Chuck" R. Copus

Chuck Copus, age 61, passed away at his home in Monona, Wis., on March 19, 2023.

Chuck grew up in Whitewater but spent most of his life living in Monona. He was an avid fisherman and loved nature.

In the early 2000s, Chuck was involved in a bicycle accident, and would spend the next 17 years being over-prescribed fentanyl, oxycodone, morphine, and other unnecessary prescription drugs. In 2017 he overdosed and nearly died. For the past 6 years Chuck had been clean, relying only on cannabis.

Chuck is survived by his son, Charles; grandsons, Anders and Archie; sisters, Cindy and Kathy; and several nieces and nephews.
