Folk Funeral Home
Funeral services for Charles "Chuck" Ray Hodge, 74, of Elgin, SC will be held at one o'clock p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with burial in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackville, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Chuck passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Born in Sumter County, SC, he was a son of the late Calvin Ray Hodge and Ruth Anita Garrington Hodge and was married to Sandra Johnston Hodge. He retired as an electrician from Santee Cooper. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and also enjoyed bowling and playing pool. He was a US Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Truxtun during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Sandra Hodge; a daughter, Robin (James) D'Alessio of Elgin, SC; granddaughter, Katie D'Alessio of Elgin, SC; a sister, Annette Prince of Orangeburg, SC; nephews, Ronald (Gail) Still of Barnwell, SC, Calvin Still of Cope, SC, Larry (Crystal) Rhodes of Orangeburg, SC, and John (Debra) Rhodes of Oviedo, FL; a niece, Lisa (Bobby) Arthurs of Windsor, SC; and a sister in law, Diane Still of Barnwell, SC.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Hodge and his brothers-in-law, Larry Johnston and Dwight Johnston.
