Charles Wayne Alday, 73, of Acworth, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm January 31 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Reverend Milton J. Knox officiating. Mr. Alday was born in Bainbridge, GA and has lived in the Kennesaw/Acworth area since 1993. He had a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, another in Philosophy, and an MBA. He was a member of First Baptist Church Marietta. Surviving are his sons Geoffrey (Jennifer) Alday of Franklin, TN, John Alday of Smynra, GA; sister Sandra Benefield of Dahlonega, GA; brother David Alday of Macon, GA; grandchildren Olivia Alday and Logan Alday; and too many friends to count. His wife Charlotte of 49 years Pre deceased him. Mr. Alday was a devout Christian, a teacher, a singer, and a man who loved his family and friends. He also loved music, philosophy, and traveling. After working for Colonial Pipeline Company for 30 years (starting as a third shift operator), he retired from upper management and started his own consulting company, which is still thriving.
