Chad Elvis Roy, 45, died on Thursday, 10/28/2021. A native of Harlingen, Texas, Chad was a devoted husband and father. He was also widely-known and well-loved as The Elvis Impersonator of the RGV. He was featured in many municipal Christmas parades throughout the Valley and won numerous awards as Elvis on the Vicky Roy Home Healthcare float. As a staunch conservative, Chad was an active member of the Cameron County Conservatives, often leading flag waves and trains with his trademark green pickup truck and energetic music. Chad was an uncompromising Christian who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, Blanca Roy; sons, Chad Andrew Roy, II and Nicolas Roy; stepdaughter, Amanda Martinez; grandchildren, Xavier, Hailey, Michael, and Kailani; father, Jerry Roy; siblings, Kevin Roy (Norma), Benjamin Roy (Alma), Jill Roy (Adam Coronado), John Wesly Roy, Gresham Roy, and Joshua Roy. He was predeceased by his mother Helen Vicki Roy. Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas. A chapel service will begin on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas with burial to follow at Ashland Memorial Park.
