SCHAUMBURG - Visitation for Celia Mae Pappas (nee Johnson), 71, a resident of Schaumburg, formerly of Hanover Park for 42 years, will be held Wednesday, July 6, from 3:00-8:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Family and friends will gather for Memorial Mass Thursday, July 7, at 10:30am at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Rd., Schaumburg. Born April 23, 1951, in Chicago, to the late Russell and the late Gladys (nee Wilson), she passed away peacefully June 29, 2022, in Park Ridge with her loving family by her side. Celia received a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from Rosary College in River Forest and was a Certified Diabetes Educator and member of the American Dietetic Association, retiring from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in 2017. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed dancing and listening to music, especially the Beatles, Eagles and Carol King. She was the adoring wife of 47 years to Michael; loving mother of Mark and Stephanie (David) Villanova; doting grandmother of Lia and Zack; dear sister of Russell (Georgette) Johnson II; dear aunt and friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Celia's name to the American Cancer Society, www.michaelsfh.com (http://www.michaelsfh.com).
