Cathye Vivian Cole Leshay was born February 8, 1945 and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on August 25, 2020. Cathye was bigger than life in whatever she experienced! She graduated from Gadsen High School and the University of Alabama, after which she taught elementary education in both Florida and Nashville. Her journey continued as she became governess for Tammy Wynette's 4 daughters, then on to spending a year in Maui, and finally moving to Jupiter, FL to continue caring for Tammy's girls.
While in Jupiter, Cathye met and married David, the love of her life. They retired to The Villages, where Cathye became a founding member of MIMO and performed in more than 15 musical productions at The Savannah Center.
Cathye is survived by her husband, David Leshay, step children Maney and Marcey, sister Ann Cummans, nephew Cole, and 6 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Cathye will be held on October 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at The Savannah Center. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
