Catherine Diane Sweeney, a 24 year resident of Rio Ranchero in The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2020. Diane is reunited with her recently deceased loving husband, Leo C. Sweeney. Diane was born in Baltimore, MD. She was the oldest daughter of a large family and learned the values of caring for others and self sacrifice. As a mother, Diane was consistently focused on her family. She gave of herself each day, ensuring that her family was well taken care of always placing their needs ahead of her own. As well as being a dedicated mother, Diane was employed at Black and Decker. She was an incredibly hard worker who instilled those values in her children. She successfully raised two strong and independent daughters by modeling examples of wisdom and strength. Diane's light, witty sense of humor made everyone around her laugh and smile. She had a great love and pride for her children and grandchildren, eagerly wanting to share their lives and accomplishments with friends.
