AMORY, MS - Catherine Ming Allen, 98 of Amory passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was a resident of Monroe County for 78 years. Catherine was born on November 30, 1923, in Lee County, MS. She was a faithful member of the Nettleton Church of Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death are her husband, Earnest L. Allen, brother, Johnnie C. Ming, sister, Winnie P. Wright, half-sister Charlotte Waltz, half-sister Christine Hall, and half-sister Norene Inmon.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her nephews Gaynor Perkins (Earleen); Bobby Perkins (Wylene); and her nieces Shelby J. Lister, Carolyn A. Miller (Blaine); Rachel K. Mack (Kendall); Sylvia K. Ming-Ghee, Virginia L. Ming (Peter); and Mary J. Proskey (Albert).
A graveside Celebration of Life Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00 am at Durrett Cemetery, Quincy, MS. with Pastor Alton Lister presiding over the service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
