Mrs. Catherine Ann Kinard Heape, 84, wife of the late Homer Heape, of McMillan Road in Brunson, passed away Friday evening, October 21, 2022 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Heape was born November 5, 1937 in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Joe Duncan Kinard and Ethel Breland Kinard. She worked in the Cafeteria at Brunson Elementary School until her retirement, and was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church.
Surviving are: Her son, William Heape of Hampton; grandson: Justin W. Heape of Hampton; two brothers: W. Dennis Kinard (Nancy) of Walterboro, Charles Delo Kinard (Martha) of Knoxville; and a sister: Helen Kinard of Walterboro, along with many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Heape was predeceased by brothers: George, Leon, Robert, and Dwight Kinard: and Sisters: Melovene Bailey and Jeanette Turnipseed.
Graveside services will be 3 P.M. Monday in the Sandy Run Cemetery near Hampton, conducted by Rev. Ricky Crosby, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Friends may visit with family immediately following the services at the cemetery.
